Call of Duty fans hail ‘packed’ Season 1 roadmap with fan-favourite skin

Black Ops 6 is the latest Call of Duty entry, and while the series certainly cops some flak from its community each year, the sentiment appears to be largely positive for the return of Adler, Woods, and co.

Aside from a strong spy-based narrative full of twists and turns and a return to round-based Zombies, multiplayer is also taking plaudits – and with Season 1 around the corner, it may be about to get better.

With Activision revealing the Season 1 roadmap this week, Call of Duty fans have been having their say over on Reddit. While they tend to be a tough bunch to impress, it appears Black Ops 6 has truly won them over.

Black Ops 6 Season 1 hailed before launch

Over on the Black Ops 6 subreddit, fans are liking what they've been shown of Season 1 so far.

'Damn season 1 is packed', one said, while another user said it's 'probably the best Season 1 roadmap we''ve seen since the post-MW19 [Modern Warfare 2019] CoD era'.

Activision is likely to be thrilled with that response, but one fan even goes one further and suggests it's 'better than any season MW 2019 put out'.

Others are thrilled Hacienda is returning after last being seen in Black Ops 4, while also requesting their next favourite remastered maps.

'Man so much content! Compare this to the MW2 season 1 and it’s honestly insane,' one user cheered.

The Replacer is popular, too. In case you missed it, the character, played by Prison Break alum Peter Stormare, has been a key part of the Black Ops 6 marketing campaign.

'F***ING KNEW THEY WERE DOING THE REPLACER', one CoD fan commented.

'You don't create a whole ass detailed model for a 30-second ad then don't use it'

Given skins aren't carrying over from Modern Warfare 2 and 3 into Black Ops 6, there's sure to be plenty of interest in the store additions going forward. Given by the end of last year's game we had Warhammer characters butting heads with Michael Myers from the Halloween franchise, we're curious to see what Treyarch cooks up for players.
